It was never a real speed demon with a 6 cylinder engine & 3 side draft carbs but, it was the beginning of the American sports cars. Very nice photo.

The '54 had a 6? I thought it had at least a 283 V-8. The current model has 700+ HP and can top out at 200+ MPH.
The '54 was a beaut though.

It didn't get a V8 until the 55 model year. Nice shot, though.
Wow, what a beauty and the photography is top notch.
Robert outstanding image. Mark it sold. Will pick it up this weekend.
That's a beautiful image, Rob. Beautiful car, too.
That was Corvette's second year of production. It was a a straight 6 cylinder. The 1955 model came with a V8 265 cu. in, engine? Chevy's 283 cu. in. V8 was a hell raiser. Later, the 327 cu. in. became the speedster it was suppose to be. The 1953-54 models, despite not being speedsters in today's standards. Is still a collector sports car. Regardless of it being a 6 cylinder engine. The current 2020 model is the mid-engine C8, top speed 194 mph. The engine is not longer in the front. Some European racing sports cars, use this engine placement configuration.
The old grandpaw Vette would be so proud of his later generations of Vettes. You've come a long way baby.
