He only asked so he could make an ignorant remark. He already knew the answer. You are casting pearls before swine.

That might be true, but it’s an opportunity to serve.

Soba, I believe in your dedication but I must tell you Elaine and Rose are posers at best. They do not follow the teachings of Jesus. If they did, they'd be much better people.

I'll leave you with one thought......

If money is the root of all evil,
why do they ask for it in church?

Misquote ... the love of money is the root of all evil is the correct quote.

I really question the authenticity of this article, for one thing. I won't get into the entire article. However, I must remark about the question of homosexuality and the Church. If you read the Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament, it is quite plain that God is against sexual sin of both stripes, both heterosexual and homosexual. In the New Testament, Paul says that if a member of the Church is found in sin, those who are strong should restore the one who has fallen. This would leave no room for adultery, fornication or active homosexual relations within the Church. The Church is not gaslighting anybody on this subject. It is preaching God's Word. Those with homosexual predilections are welcome. Those who fall can find forgiveness and restoration, but it is still a sin and unacceptable as a continuing life choice.

We are but there also comes a time to shake the dust off your feet. He won’t find what he needs on any forum nor will pride allow him to ask sincere questions.

Its odd that some get so angry and/or offended on an anonymous forum.

I have lived in two cities in my life. Pontiac, Michigan and Dallas, Texas. While growing up in Pontiac, there was Pontiac General Hospital which was operated by the county and tax dollars paid by Oakland Country residents. It did, of course, collect insurance from those who had insurance but also provided healthcare to those who did not. Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where I live now, is the largest public hospital in the country, also the recipient of taxpayer dollars. Again, it will collect what insurance money it can including medicare and medicaid, but every indigent individual in the county is eligible to receive the finest healthcare available from this hospital. My wife, who was a surgical nurse at UT Southwestern in Dallas said that the best surgeons at UTSW would perform surgeries on the poorest individuals...including illegal immigrants, pro-bono. Since surrounding counties do not have hospitals similar to Parkland, many of their indigent also come to Parkland for treatment.

Photo of the new Parkland Hospital.

Here is the problem little Frankie, you call names, scream and cry, NEVER listen to what anyone says, if they are republican you call them names, liars and whatever else you come up with.

Your ignorance is astounding! Being Christian does NOT mean that I have to accept YOUR crazy rantings.

You don’t know ANYONE on here, but like tp pretend YOU DO. WHY? You are ignorant and don’t know jack about anyone. Phony liberal.

Update on my Parkland Hospital post. Many of you know that I have two deaf daughters. When my younger deaf daughter had her first child, she and her husband were not making much money, so she was on Medicaid and had her son at Parkland. I remember looking in on him in the nursery. He was the only white baby in there!! The majority of the babies were hispanic. The rest were black. I only point this out because Dallas County has found a way to provide health care to all individuals, regardless of ability to pay. I must ask, whatever became of the concept of public hospitals? BTW, Children's Hospital is just across the street from Parkland and is a regional hospital. It is endowed and children are treated there regardless of their ability to pay.

Okay, Soba.
Tell me where the bible condones not giving the sick affordable healthcare.
Show me where the bible says we should put children in jails.
Show me where the bible says we should take a child out of a hospital and deport him to a country where he will die because they don't have the science to treat him.
Show me where the bible says that we should take care of the rich.
Show me where the bible says we should hate those that disagree with us.
The bible doesn't contain the answers.
For the record, I admire Jesus, it's his followers that disappoint me.
Okay, Soba. br Tell me where the bible condones n... (show quote)
