MAC was my avatar. I got him from the humane society and he was my best friend and companion for 8 years. Mac developed an aggressive form of bone cancer. I let him go on Aug. 6. I miss him so much.

Thank you all. Mac was not the 1st pet I have lost, but he was the closest to ME.

You have my sincere sympathy - been there done that several times. At the risk of being insensitive, and certainly have no idea if we are alike in any way, but the biggest mistake I made after loosing my boy was waiting 5 years to get a new dog friend. At the moment, have 3 of varying ages, Barring some unlikely disaster, I will always come home to dogs. Peace.

I know how painful this is. I'm not sure we ever get over it, but we move on. He surely was a beauty and your photos capture who he was perfectly.

So sorry for your loss. I had to let 2 of mine go 5 months apart.
