For the Deer Lovers Out There

Since we have been having a discussion about deer, I wanted to share a photo I took earlier this summer. This fellow was munching in our garden one morning, and was only mildly interested in the nearby photographer. I had a 300 f/4 PF on my D500, so about the only thing I could do was take a closeup! Then I “encouraged” him to get the heck out of our garden.

Look at those bases (of the antlers). Wow!

I have a difficult time "encouraging" the deer in my yard to hop back over the fence. They almost look as though they want to be petted. Of course they are not so cute when they run into your car when driving. Have had a few of those episodes.

My "Rule #1 of landscape design" is: The more expensive the plant, the tastier it is to deer.

No wonder they crash. It must be hard to steer with hooves. 😉

Awe, MrBumps, for a pose like that, he deserves to do some munching in your garden.
