I posted a lightning shot the other day and received a number of wonderful remarks , i decided to post a few more.
Good decision, great photos!

Great shots. Are these by chance or do you have trigger?

Hi Ruthlessrider,
shot with canon 5d mkIV 70 200 @ 75 mm iso 500 f16 3.5 sec
I set up on tripod get manual focus set, set exposure for an underexposure without lightning at about 3 to 4 sec. using remote shutter release hold open until lightning bolt or 4 sec , whichever comes first. repeat .
I took about 300 exposures and got 5 good lightning bolts,,, I have a lightning trigger and will sometimes use it but it takes some of the fun out of it. (and i could not find it last night)
Thank you, love the pictures keep taking more!!!!

Your shots are very nice. Thank you for sharing more of them.
Last week i tried what you describe, but ended up pointing in the wrong direction. It would lightning over here, then there would be some over there. I changed my camera on tripod and the lightning would come from another direction. It finally dawned on me that the storm was moving by pretty fast and the direction was not predictable.
Beautiful! I especially like the third one with the cloud to cloud bolt, haven't ever seen that photographed so well.
Nice shots - patience is a virtue - unfortunately mine is in relatively short supply!
Fantastic! Keep em coming
