Hello, I'm new to the sight and would like some constructive criticism.
Came out early one morning to notice what looked like the grass just sparkling. So I grabbed my DSLR (Nikon d5500) and extension tube this is the result.
Very nice...you did good.
It's great that you got the sunstar. The f/18 aperture setting probably did that. The only thing I would say is that the drop is a very small part of the scene. I tend to wander around the image, looking at other things besides the drop which should be the main subject. Is there a way that you could have gotten closer to isolate the drop more?
Thanks for the reply.
I could have but I seemed to shadow it. I might have used a longer extension tube or, I suppose I could crop it tighter with software if I dont loose to much sharpness.

Very Nice Capture! If you don't mind some criticism, I would like to offer.
Crop the image tight with emphasis on the blade of grass or flower petal holding the dew drop. Even thing else will be out of focus. Add a star filter to your lens for impact. Be careful. This filter will intensify not magnify light. It is also good for candles. Water in a spray bottle can create dew but that is heading off on the extreme.
Very Nice Capture!
Liked the image & welcome to UHH. Great site that I hope you enjoy as much as I have. There are a lot of good shooters here to learn from.
well done! you even have a refracted image in the central drop!
Nice shot and welcome to the forum.
