I am giving serious thought to selling off my Sony A6300 and lenses and accessories and picking up an RX100M7. It’ll give me everything I’ve got in the A6300 kit, plus more zoom range, all in a very compact package. The RX100 may be compact, but it’s still a bridge camera, as far as I am concerned, anyway. It just doesn’t have the larger body other bridge cameras have.
It has been my understanding from the start, a bridge camera had a single, non-replaceable lens, with variable focal ranges, and user controls for shutter, aperture, and ISO. A bridge between a point and shoot, and a DSLR. The Canon SX50 became the flagship for bridges with its "Megazoom" 50x zoom range and promotion by Canon.
