Thanks sergio. You are right, I don't see male much. Some time they visit our deck but till date I could not get the chance to capture them.

Thanks merrytexan for your comments. I think you should hang a feeder with sugar water. When hummers will come to drink water, they will also come on flowers and then you can shoot them. I hope you will get the chance to get a beautiful image.

The poster is in Maryland, and Maryland has only one hummingbird, the Rubty Throated.This hummingbird is over most of the US east of the Mississippi, the largest range of any in US.
They migrate and are proven to return to same place each summer, thus the same families return yearly to YOUR feeder.
