Edit: I do not have a 5D MK IV (never did) but I do have a 5DS-R...
I have props, backgrounds einstein monolights , light modifiers, canon 5dsr, some lenses, rolling studio stands, furniture all in a gigantic heap in my garage. I have listings on craigslist and Facebook market with photos and prices and looking for local pickup versus shopping. If anyone is interested and in Orange county message me and I will send you to the various items to check out. I tried to list them here before and was told that violated ya'll....
I closed my portrait studio in April and didn't want to pay 250 a month storage.
I'm not sure what your financial situation is currently. But if your in a hurry to unload your gear, may I offer a kind suggestion? Would you like to donate all or some of your gear to a local high school? You could negotiate a tax deduction. I will be setting up a camera donation to my son's high school. You can private message me for details.

If he is "listing" his stuff I would think he would like to see some cash. Tax returns are great if you have income.
Why couldn't you post here?

Hmmm. That is odd. Many sellers list a number of items for sale with particulars and photos of the items.
Does an administrator want to enlightened us?

It was only my suggestion. Not meant to insult anyone. If my suggestion offend anyone, please accept my apology.

You don't "negotiate" the tax deduction. The group receiving the item(s) simply gives you a list of the items that they have received. That is the proof that you did in fact donate the items. You then claim what you believe is the value of the items. You are the one that sets the value.

I have started a foundation in honor of my son. (
www.BGMFoundation.org). My next project is to donate photography gear to my son's former high school. I'm not so much interested in a tax deduction. I just want to create a new generation of photographers just him.
I will take anything like a camera body or a tripod or a light and make it part of a package to present to the school.
I am willing to give a 501[c][3] certificate and we can work out the cost of the item.
A lot of people don't mind but a few people have gotten insulted. That is not my intention. It is to build a legacy in honor of Brian and acknowledge the person providing or making the donation.
Again I write that it was only a suggestion not intended to insult anyone.
If I did insult someone, I am apologizing.

How did you interpret that as an insult???
I guess you guys from Brooklyn are as savvy as a girl from Hell's Kitchen.

Some photographers create a list of gear. Many people believe it is to be sold. I thought that that the gear would do better if donated to a High School Photography Club. Another poster implied that the list was intended to be purchased. I offered my suggestion since I know a large gear sale may take an extensive amount of time. Some people don't have an exhorbitant amount of time on their hands.
Orange County North Carolina?

Yes thanks this is a good idea (I was thinking of this relative to the large furniture stuff so maybe this could work for high school or college photography classes). If you have a source that covers my area that would be appreciated....
