There is a big difference between what IS law, and what people interpret it as meaning.
When we had books - they were Peer Reviewed. The internet in the main does not do this.
Hence the need to include the URL when quoting an internet reference in a published book. (ie Judge for yourself if it is correct or not).

Wikki is not a reputable source for Higher Education use it with caution!

There is no reference to quote. The State of Texas says they do not have typically have laws or statements permitting things. The law does not list all the things that are NOT Copyrighted or that people are allowed to walk in the rain
