It's official, Donna. You have moved into the world of "artistry" and from this moment on, you will be called ARTIST. Congratulations. Well deserved.
Delta Dawn what's that flower you have on
Could it be a faded Rose from days gone by?
Somehow, your pics reminded me of that song.
These pics are stunning. One cannot just look once. One has to return over and over to soak up more and more of that beauty. Pure opium from your Canon.
Beautiful Donna well done.
Donna, your work is always exquisite, and your delta flowers are no exception. Each subject is thoughtfully photographed, and artfully processed to perfection. I love them all!

Sandy, thank you so very much for your always lovely comments and encouragement! I'm thrilled you enjoyed them, and I'm anxious to go back there to see what new might be in bloom. Just waiting for a break in this heat and humidity!

show quote)
That would be 1972, Donna by Tanya Tucker. 'Cause she would walk downtown with a suitcase in her hand,
Looking for a mysterious dark-haired man.
I suppose she's still looking for that mansion in the sky, maybe?
It's fun to reminisce.

It sure is, Tom, and I love the oldies. I thought Bobbie Gentry did Delta Dawn, but you're right.

Tallahatchi Bridge? Maybe? Something about jumping off the bridge at Chocktaw Ridge? Ode to Billy Joe.
