Those are especially good pictures of the wool carder bee. They are difficult to photograph, especially in flight.

Thank you very much Mark. I got loads of blurry ones for every good one. This one I managed to get only the tongue and one antenna.
Fortunately they kept coming back for some of my wife's lavender plant.

Thanks! Pure luck! I also realized later that the auto focus was on the 3-dimensional setting. Might have helped.
