D750 Kit

I advertised this once before but did not have any takers. Someone thought I was asking too much but failed to make an offer so they just wanted to be a smartass is my guess. The reason I have this for sale is that I acquired a D750 a few months prior to buying the kit. It was not part of the initial recall of he D750 so I felt comfortable in purchasing it used. Then there was a second recall where the shutter had to be replaced -- this time the recall numbers did include the camera I had purchased. It went back to Nikon. In the meantime, Black Friday/Cyber Monday happened and the new kit I'm advertising went on sale at a great price. I liked the D750 so much I decided to get it brand new. Well, before it arrived, the original 750 came back from Nikon and to my surprise, it looked brand new. I later found out that when Nikon recalls a camera, it doesn't leave their shop until it specs out as a new camera. It came back with all new rubber, cleaned, looking like a new camera! I decided I didn't need to put the new 750 into service since the old one was as new. I really like the 750 and use it much more than my D810. Things I like to photograph do not play well with the 810 --- like firework shots. The file size on the 810 fills the buffer so quickly I miss shots. The 750 doesn't have that problem. The 24-120 lens has never been taken out of the box, and the camera has never been turned on since leaving the factory. I only opened the box because it did not seem large enough for the battery grip. Nikon didn't send it and if you notice the sales slip, it only shows the camera and lens. Well, I called Nikon and told them their offer included the battery grip, to which the girl I was talking with replied that maybe the offer had expired. I told her I was looking at their web page as we talked and it was showing it was still included! She still had to get a supervisor to tell her to send me the grip! Anyway it came about 10 days later. So what I have is an as new D750 with the 24-120 lens and the battery grip --- totally unused. I am asking 1950.00 for this. I paid 2119.95 with tax. Adorama is currently selling this kit for 2333.05. B&H doesn't even show this kit but is offering the camera, lens and a high end microphone for 1999.00. If you are into video that might be a better choice for someone but for what I'm asking there is a savings of almost 400.00 without considering tax. Most states now are requiring tax to be collected -- some aren't yet including PA where I live. It will just be a matter of time until all states are requiring this.
So, bottom line 1950.00 firm. I pay shipping to anywhere in the lower 48. I will accept a check but it will not ship until the check clears. Paypal is fine but you pay the fee which is not too much I think -- you can check that. If there is no interest in this, I'll just keep it for backup -- eventually everything wears out! It just means I won't be getting my drone this year. (my next significant photo purchase)

I have been trying to sell a used D750 for $750 and haven't had any takers either. While it is a great camera it is several years old.
Good luck trying to sell yours.

I paid $2,300 new, body only for my D750 back in 2015 so I think that you will sell this very quickly

Here's what they've sold for recently on eBay.

Sounds like a good deal. I'd be interested, except that I already have a D750 system. I love it. Anyone who does not have one should consider it. Being a bit older, it is now more affordable. It still has great capabilities. Whether as the primary base of a system, or as a backup body in an otherwise newer system, the D750 has much to offer.

The problem is that the Nikon warranty is not transferable. So a used Nikon camera or lens takes a big hit in sale price.

This may very well be the last great camera in that price range that is not mirrorless. I'm sure Nikon's focus for cameras in that price range in the future will be in the Z series. Mirrorless is not for everyone. Since I've been playing around with a Sony 6000, I find some things that just don't work as well as with standard SLRs. While some aspects of mirrorless are really nice like higher frames per second, I don't like the flash control as much. Nikon has always had the best speedlight system and it is hard to give up that control.

Thanks Jerry, I looked and not a single one was totally unused. My price seems pretty fair when looking at what is on e-bay. Also, I think the trust level here on UHH is much higher than on e-bay. I tend to stay away from offers there. I've had very good luck purchasing several items here on UHH.

The UHH, where everything for sale is in "mint" or "like new" condition??

My luck has been quite the opposite of yours. There's a bunch of blind bats selling here! I would however feel confident in buying your D750. Just not looking right now.

Thanks. I have a lot of equipment that I should sell but this is one item I'm confident would not disappoint the buyer. I also believe it to be a good value at the price I'm asking. Someone mentioned warranty but I've been doing photography for 50 years and have never needed to send any piece of equipment back for a warranty repair. I did send in my original 750 due to a recall but as long as it was a US sold item they didn't care about who was the original owner or how old it was -- they knew they had sent out cameras with initial defects and they just wanted to make it right.

I don't mean to rain on your parade but what's hurting your sale is Nikon has the same gear for $1999.95 so someone in the market would more than likely spend the extra $50 to get it straight from Nikon. You might wait until Nikon ends the sale and takes the price back to $2799.95 then yours would be a great bargain. Just saying.

Nikon does not use biometrics to
identify who sends in a camera.

IOW, if I sell you my warranteed
camera and it should need work,
you communicate with Nikon as
me, under my name.

I just checked the Nikon web site. The deal they are showing is for 1999.95 for the body and lens -- not showing the battery grip which is a 365.00 accessory. What you saw must have been a one day sale, or something like that. Looks like I still have the best deal if someone wants it.

I can wait if it doesn't sell right away. Like I said this may be the last rodeo for a quality DSLR in this price range so I don't expect the price to go lower for a while. It's not like they are working on a D760 or anything. I think in the 2000.00 price range Nikon will be putting their efforts into the Z series. Heck, fifteen years from now I may put it on Antique's Road Show and in it's pristine condition it will be valued greatly!

Yep, I overlooked the grip. Hope you get your price! Good shooting to you.

Can I use your credit card to pay?
