Thank you for doing this. Also, here's my response to your asking for something to share. Two unaltered photos, one from my back yard, one from a celebration in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, were layered. Altered the mask and spider web to sharpen and bring out full tones, darkening the background. The dancers were duplicated, pasted onto another layer and flipped, then partly erased to appear as a dream of the mask. Some saturation applied to the dancers, and "Thunderbird" symbol hinted.

Upto just a few months ago, my interest in art was minimal at best. Between you and Kenievans I have developed an interest in PhotoArt and whilst I don't pretend to understand much of the final image, I have a good idea of the processes involved.

I can sit looking at a Constable for hours on end, whilst passing on Picasso. The Mask of Dreams is one of those that may keep me occupied for quite a while - its brilliant, its terrifying. This is the stuff that nightmares are made of.

I couldn't be happier for you and the section, Linary! I hope that more folks will discover PP Forum and that all subscribers will continue to teach, learn, grow and be inspired. Best wishes and thank you!

So glad you are still here. Have enjoyed your posts and stewardship of this section for years. I should have thanked you years ago for inspiring me to get a SX 50 back when you were wearing out your first one. Still have and use it on occasion. You have left Linary a fine section. I am sure he will do well.

Thanks Linary.

By the way, as someone who taught Art Appreciation for many years, I understand your preferences. No problem. Most of us have preferences for one kind of music over another. I hoped to help people look for the best of each type. Constable is one of the best of that style. That, and having an open mind is usually all that's required to enjoy Art.

Thanks Linary for stepping up. If you can manage to maintain the civility that Linda brought to this forum you will have succeeded and the membership will continue to grow.

Linary, first I would like to thank you for picking up the baton. Just think of yourself as being part of a relay team. The baton has been passed off to you and the team has great confidence in you taking us across the finish line. I hope that helps with the sports analogy.

I will try not to drop it at the first hurdle.

I did understand the intent, but I did not know if the sport was Basketball, American Football or Baseball. I have not heard of the players either.
For cricket information - Graham Thirkill (UHH member) is your man.

Since I don't know European football players, with a few exceptions, I can't speak to that.

Hah~

I should have been quoting Linary rather than your cogent explanation. The comp was intended for him.

They are English cricketers, by the way.
