Hello from GA. - Who named the site?
Hello everyone,
I am fairly new to Digital Photography and found this site while looking for a printer.
I only joined last week and already used the site to purchase a really nice used printer from someone on the site.
I am originally from NYC and now I live in the North Georgia mountains where there are an endless supply of photo opportunities. I am just learning to use Lightroom and just started to shoot in RAW/JPEG. ( not ready to go RAW only.
I have a Canon Rebel T6i and a couple of lenses and enjoy making landscapes and Nature shots.
I have a question:
WHERE DID THE UGLY HEDGEHOG NAME COME FROM???
Anyway I’m glad I found the site and hope to use it to better my abilities.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
I've not heard a good reason for the name yet.....
North GA is beautiful, love the area! Unicoi was great!
I shoot primarily landscape and nature also.
The T6i should do well for you (I'm still using my T1i.)
I shoot RAW+JPEG simply because it is easy for me to review the images in Windows Explorer. Then I decide which image I want to work with in the RAW editor (DPP). I don't edit every image, only the ones I want to use, when I want to use them.
For that reason I'll never go to RAW only.
Have fun shooting.

I actually have a Canon T6 and a T6i, long story. I enjoy my 6i and use that for most of my photos.

Yes! I got the T6 as a partial payment from a loan to a friend. I already had the T6i as my camera.

I’m thinking about upgrading to a Full frame, perhaps a used 5D mark II or III in the near future😃
Now you have ≈dual cameras or a backup!
