When you sync pictures from an ipad to an Mac Pro laptop, where are the files stored? They full fills must be on the laptop because I can edit them, but looking everywhere I can not find them. I store all my pictures on an external drive and would like to do the same with these.

Any suggestions would be a great help and I thank you for them.

There must be a parameter somewhere.

Could they be stored in "iCloud"?

Did you look in your Pictures folder? This is the default for Mac.

Yes I did thank you. No luck. I have all my pictures go to an external hard drive.

We are all assuming that you are taking taking your pictures with a camera. And that you are not importing them into your iPad, but into your MacBook Pro; and storing them on an external drive. What program are you importing them into? Let's start here and figure this out.
