This old building is part of the Taylor homestead and the site was used for some shots in the movie. The cabin that was built specifically for the movie is now in the town of Jackson behind the archaeology center of the historical museum on Mercill Street.
Thanks, Tsaannapunni for that piece of information. It seems to be that because it was used in the movie that it was the cabin he stayed in. Maps mark it as the Shane Cabins but lots of information can be slightly misleading.

I like your composition very much. The “picture frame” approach is intriguing especially as the orientation of the “frame” is unusual. Excellent image!
