I clicked on the photo icon in goggle and and up came images from 10-12 years ago . I through that i had moved all of these images to an external passport. Nice surprise. None of these images are in my picture folder.
Question............how do i move these images to my desktop. I would like to work on some of these lost images?

One way:
Click on the thumbnail of a photo, click on the the three dots (top right), click download.

Or: open an Album, select every photo, right click and "save as", then create a folder/location to save it to.

Good luck,
Mark

Glad you picked up on that. The "on my computer" threw me off.

There's always the "send to" option.

Try right-clicking and then send to your desktop. You can then create a new file for the photos.

Or you can minimize the folder on your desktop, click on the image and drag and drop right to your desktop, and just click on move here or copy here.

First, do some studying on how your operating system organizes files so you don’t "lose" anything again. Second, you don’t have to have a link to them on your desktop. That’s just additional clutter for computer to keep track of.
