Virgin Galactic - Mojave Spaceport

If you read the news a couple weeks ago you might have noticed that there is competition to Elon Musk and his Space X business for launching satellites into space. Virgin Galactic, Richard Branson's enterprise has demonstrated that satellites can be launched without the First Stage rockets and land based launch pads. Much like the old X-15 plane of the 60's dropping from the wing of a B-52 bomber Branson wants to use his converted 747, "Cosmic Girl" to achieve launches in the same manner.
A few days before proving it can be done, I was traveling from Las Vegas to the San Francisco Bay Area. I can never pass through the town of Mojave without driving through and around the experimental hangers of the several "start up" space businesses. I just love that the airfield is called "Mojave Airport and SpacePort".
Caught a few images from outside the fence line of "Cosmic Girl" and the text rocket.
Nothing special photographically but I thought it cool enough to share.....
