I'm about ready to sell some gear and had been using KEH, but when I went to list it I see that KEH has now listed only certain gear they will buy, so I guess I'll sever a very long trust in KEH and I'll try B&H, then try here on UHH---------Sad to see that reliable source disappear

I try them all and have had good luck with all. EBay, UHH, Canon Digital Forums, Keh, and B and H. I just remember it is a business and how much I get depends on how much they need it.

Perhaps KEH looked at their inventory and saw they purchase some stuff that is not saleable any longer?

I have used mpb.com and have been very satisfied. They pay promptly and will upgrade and give you more than the original quote if they deem your gear to be of higher value.
I have also bought used gear from them and been very satisfied.

I mostly use B& H for all my gear and I love them. Never had a disagreement or anything with them over the years. Once I ordered a camera online and when it was delivered it was damaged. I’m lucky I live in NYC so I took the camera to them and in 5 minutes had a brand new camera in my hand. I’ve sold them many cameras along with lenses again never had a problem. That’s my 2 cents worth of experience.

I sold a Sigma lens to Adorama, got about 1/2 for it, and purchased an open box Nikon lens.
eBay—what if the buyer isn’t happy

Thanks to all who replied. I'll do some looking into what you have suggested. I do hate to part with this but I'll never use them again. Here in west TX water is a precious resource so running even a home lab for processing becomes a significant cost factor. But the gear brings back a lot of good memories.

I've been buying and selling on eBay.com for 19 years. I've never had a problem. If a person has never done it before, there is a good eBay.com guide on kenrockwell.com. It's really just common sense. If you subtract what a photo equipment retailer will offer from the amount you can get on eBay.com, and take that amount of money, and divide it by the total time to sell on eBay.com minus the the total time to sell to a retailer, you're making at least $500 per hour for the extra work required to sell on eBay.com!

KEH was fair as was Adorama, on the film stuff. Hey they have to make money when they sell it, I get all that. I think some one asked what I had, (Nikon stuff). The good glass (the ƒ2.8 glass) is gone. Still have some AI ƒ4 glass, F2A with motor drive, FE. Couple of digital bodies...D7200,(like new) D750,(E condition) (both with Nikon Vertical grips with Kirk L brackets) D3s E condition and I think less than 12,000 clicks. Interested? PM me.

B&H, KEH, Adorama, (plus others), are all sites I have purchased from. I sell on ebay or print ads in my local paper. I have also used yard sales to buy and sell, but if you know a local shop owner who will work on a commission of the sale that works for the higher price items. this method also offers some security for a higher value camera or lens.
