Linda from Maine. Maybe she could teach me her compassion and patience.

Sadly, Linda from Maine retired from UHH as of July 28th. She will be greatly missed.

I did not know that either. It's a loss for UHH and its subscribers. I will miss her, but wish her well.

There are many interesting photographers here at the Ugly Hedge Hog forum. I recently climbed onto the forum and have had many discussions with several people. With that being written, there are a few who I believe we can share a lot more than a cold beer and a cigar.

For what it is, I would like to meet
CHG_CANON, dsmeltz and Kmgw9v. I look forward to meeting Heschel Waldner and billwald.

I have enjoyed the banter between other Hoggers and myself. Oddly enough, there are some where we may not have necessarily seen eye to eye on some topics. No one here is an encyclopedia. We are here to share and learn and grow.

Yup, those are on my list as well!

What a shame. With any luck, Linda will return.

Oh my, since I wrote my list late last night, I realized there were at least a half dozen more I should have added - apologies if I missed you 😫

I know, I have initially missed a bunch also, including you.

If you could arrange a meet with a member on this wonderful site, who would it be?

Anyone from the "DSLR Forever" crowd so we could shoot side-by-side with my mirrorless and compare results.

No need to compare. If the sensor is the same and the lens is the same (and the photographers are equally skilled), there should be no difference in the image. The mirror does not affect IQ, and depending on the nature of the shot, the EVF may be either an advantage or a disadvantage.

That’s really it. Usability in a particular situation, or for a particular task, is key. Use the right tool for your most common job. Newbies should remember:

What goes on a few inches behind the camera has more influence on quality than most will admit.
