We see whites down here mostly during the winter months, but I get a bigger kick out of the browns, my current situation really restricts my travel but that will change in the future, I am looking forward to exploring the many birding opportunities that Florida offers. As it is I spend a lot of time shooting the pelicans, eagles, and herons because they are easy to find close by. I really love the Green Heron but have only seen it in the southern part of the state, have not seen them up in North Central Florida, they may be here but I have not yet come across them.
As far as birding goes, I love it but I will say that it can become quite a money pit.

What do YOU think is the very best photograph, you've taken, so far - in 2019? … You know - the one you are so very delighted with - you are considering blowing it up to plaster a wall with it … any takers??
Shot this year @ rock springs Florida Nikon D810 ,14mm-24mm f2.8 @14mm....I have a few more thought this one was good enough . like this egret displaying in breeding plumage Jacksonville Florida gator farm shot 2 seasons ago worked on for printing this year . It prints Life size well ......
I don't know this is the best I've taken this year, but I just finished uploading pictures I took on our outing to the zoo with our grandson. This is one of my favorites from the group.
Brookfield, Illinois Zoo gorilla
planepics
Loc: St. Louis burbs, but originally Chicago burbs
I may have others that I haven't decided about, but of the 4,600 or so pics I took at Oshkosh from 7/22 - 7/28 this is so far my favorite. When I get an address, I'm going to send it to a organization that operates the plane and get an autograph. Not sure if I'll blow it up big enough to plaster a wall with, though. It's just shy of 12x18 and will probably cost me $50-60 to get a custom matted frame. I started to put together a FB album. There's only 6 pics in it so far, but will add plenty more as time goes by.
Shot at 150mm with my new Tamron (150-600) from the front row of the flight line. I removed (if you're polite enough not to pixel-peep and criticize) a FedEx truck in the lower right corner background.
