The night train...
I took these a few years ago in Waxhaw NC, while standing on the walkway over the tracks.
Also this would have been a CSX train.

The title reminded me of a film that we all used to see at school. Most of the Government Organisations had their own film companies where many a director cut his teeth but this one is best remembered for the Auden poem towards the end (20mins). A slice of railway history recording the Night Mail train from London to Scotland. And from a time when HV jerkins hadn't been thought of!

I would edit the first three pictures to be darker like the last picture. In addition, I would reduce the vibrance and color saturation to give them less of an artificial and more of a real night time feel.
Might be interesting to try similar shots during the daytime with underexposure to see if you can simulate the way night scenes were simulated on old tv shows. You might need a ND filter too to get a long enough exposure.
