I presently have a Canon 5D4 and a Canon 7D Mark ll. I travel to Africa on photo safari and the 5D4 is a new purchase. The lenses that I have are a Tamron 150-600 G2, a Canon 70-200 2.8, a Canon 24-70mm 2.8, a Canon 24-105 F4, and a 18-200mm kit lens which will only work on the 7D. My question is which of the above lenses should I use on the 5D keeping in mind that I want to have two cameras ready to go. Suffestions are welcome. I will be going to Kenya and Madagascar in November.

Of course use the 18-200mm on your 7D Mk III.
Use the 150-600mm and the 24-105mm to reduce 1 lens. You won't miss the focal length from 105-150mm but you may miss the f/2.8.
or
24-70mm, 70-200mm and 150-600mm on the 5DMk4.

You will want a camera with lots of reach, so I would put the 150-600 on the 7DII for long distance subjects, the 24-70 on the 5D for landscape and keep the 70-200 on reserve for the 5D for closer wildlife.

I don't understand how you can have all this equipment and have the need to ask what goes where and what should I use.

You don’t have to understand. If you can’t help then keep your comments to yourself, these needless remarks are getting tiring. Who are you to question why he is asking anyway!

A friend of mine in Florida shoots the 5D Mark IV with the Tamron 150-600 and wins a lot of photo competitions with that combo.
But really, you should contact the tour company to ask their recommendations, they have done it a few more times than anyone here and have probably advised many photographers on what to bring. A lot depends on how close they are able to get you to your targets.

So sorry you are so offended. Perhaps you should take your own advise.

I have friends who have been to Africa and they said it is very dusty. Changing lenses in the field is not a good idea. I would take just two lenses, one for each.

I used a 100-400 on a full-frame camera and rarely wanted more reach. I didn't always have my back-up with me because I wasn't using it very much - I had the 24-105 on that. I would put the 150-600 on your 5D for maximum quality at the high end. Put the 24-105 on the 7D.

Will the Tamron 18-400 mm be adequate as a single lens/ less weight solution?
