Why is it that I ask a simple question of a specific group of people (Pitt Bull owners) and all the haters come out? If you don't have something constructive to say or a insurance company to recommend, who asked you? Go start your own haters thread and vent all you want!

I got the answer I needed despite all the haters!

When you throw a bone in a public forum expect a dog fight. That's the nature of opinions - some just express our views differently then others and as a pitt owner you should have expected what you got.

Your best bet was to pitch the bone, without referencing you chain you dog all day, and watch the battle between lovers and haters without throwing in your two cents, that just increased the snarwling.

Do as a couple, including myself, have suggested and build a nice kennel so your dog is not theathered much of the day and night. That sir, is not fair to your dog.

When a Poster ask's opinions, the best ones are usually in the first two or three pages. After that some people get defensive for whatever reason and make comments not related to the original question, that's the nature of a public forum. Don't really blame you for getting a little pissed!

Now you are showing your @$$. If you read my post you would have seen that I have owned several [which means more than one] and I would not have owned several if I did not love them. All I am trying to tell you is that they are TROUBLE you just wait and see. My only hope is that he shows you I am right on an animal and not a child. Good luck hard head.

Again? READ THE ENTIRE POST!
He doesn't cower anymore and his confidence has been restored. He has been around my nieces and nephews who have grabbed him and hugged him and when they let go he goes running around the yard like he is on top of the world!
I get it you don't like them, so go troll somewhere else!

Looks like pits are just like some of the dumbass people who have posted on here. Some are just and trustworthy, some are not.
Imagine that. How about we just kill off the ones we don't like or understand and be done with it all.

"My only hope is that he shows you I am right on an animal and not a child."

Only someone terribly sick minded would make a statement like that. Hoping he will attack another animal!

You must lead a very sad, paranoid, egotistical and sheltered existence.

Call your vet-he will tell you if the insurance is available in your area. Some places have you put them on your home owners policy (CA)
I have 2 female pit bulls (FL) and they do go thru stages in their aggression as they develop and throughout their life. Although a pet pit bull would never bite his owner- you can't say that anyone he/she perceives as a threat to you would not be.
I live in North Florida and pit bulls are a family pet here. The only other dog around here is a hound for hunting and if you have one, you do not have the other. We got our second pit as a companion for the first. They love each other dearly but that does not stop one or the other from trying to show they are the dominant dog.
We have have had to separate them in blood lust for days at a time 3 times in the last year. I would never have 2 of them at the same time again. The older dog won't last a lot longer so we are just keeping a sharp eye on both for the time being.
