Purchase a used D810 today with a shutter count below 10,000, and would like some recommendations on brand CF card that has work well with the 810 in your experience. Thanks for your help!

SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO CompactFlash & 64GB Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC Memory Card Kit SAEPCFSD64GP In Stock QTY: 1 Price: $82.22. have always had great performance from SanDisk.

Try cameramemoryspeed.com they test cards in cameras. I have been happy with their recommendation of cards for my d800. I'm looking to get a used d810 also so I will keep an eye on this thread.

All of my CF cards are Lexar. PS - I use 32GB and 64GB cards (for NEF) and never use a card for more than 2 days, no matter how many images are on it. If a card fails, I won’t lose everything. I sometimes use the SD slot for JPGs.
I have had good experience with the San Disk Extreme cards

Works for me. About a dollar a gig
Thank all of you for your assistance, much appreciated input.

I have always used Lexar with no issues at all. Currently am using a 128gb and 2 64gb cards.
SanDisk for sure. I had a 64GB Lexar CP that wend bad a while ago. Lexar refused to replace it. That was the last Lexar I ever bought.

The user’s manual lists the brands and specifications of the cards that Nikon has tested and approved.
I have lots of SanDisk Extreme 32GB and 64GB Compact and SD cards. All have worked great and no failures yet. I did buy other cards and had a lot of problems.
Be warned though there are a lot of fake cards out there!!
They look like real ones but will fail.
I ask my camera shop and they said more than 50% were fake from China.
Remember that you can set the camera up with the SD card as the primary card and the CF card as secondary. Depending on what you capture and save, this has the possibility of letting you buy smaller (by 50%) and slower CF cards. Could make life a little easier if CF choices are limited in your part of the world.
