Thanks again Tim. This particular family is a favorite among island photographers. They usually reside in the OSV zone so it's a treat to see them. During the summer months these horses move to the developed area to flee the horrendous bugs in the back country (they are just awful!) The NP System does a census of the horses several times a year. They just released their latest and reported no births, deaths or pregnancies. Apparently the bloated belly look is common due to their diet. The abundance of food at this time of year contributes to this as well.
