I guess you are referring to the 376 C.I. ?
My 2008 Vette has a 6.2 liter (376 C.I.) engine with 436 horsepower.

I was mistaken.Dad's was a 62,and my brother had a split rear window 64,I think. They were always working on them. My Dad started taking cars apart when he was 11. And put them back together, too!! Good times.Good memories.
The split window was only made in 63

Thought I would add mine. Just finished a 2 year resto.
My dad drove me back from FL, to MI, and I think I held on to the chicken bar every mile back. He was a wonderful driver and liked to let her loose when no one was around. I was 15 at the time, and enjoyed every mile of it. He also drove me back from Florida in his Porsche. Another thrill a minute!!

Didn't notice the little girl until I "downloaded" the image. Was she hanging on to the passenger door or pp'ed in ?!!
I think the '63 was the most beautiful car ever made. Looks like it could be the Command Module mounted on top
of a Saturn 5 for the next moon mission.
I go back and forth between a '57 Chevy BelAir 2 door hardtop and the '63 split window Corvette - I'd take either with a huge smile!
I would, too. However, the '57 Chevy Bel Air 2-dr hardtop was the first car I ever owned. It gave me a lot of memories. 283 cu.in., Holly four barrel carb, Borg Warner trans, 4-sp shift with a Hurst shifter. I took it to Detroit Dragway and made two runs, burned half a tank of gas, got a trophy, ran 85mph, 14.45 seconds on bald snow tires. Nothing I've owned since has thrown me back in the seat like that one did. Bought it for $450, ran it hard for two years, then sold it for $750 when I was sent to Germany in the Navy.
Yeah, good times.
