I just downloaded the sd card from this camera today and noticed I have a black mark in the upper right corner of most of the photos. Am attaching two. I think the whatever is on the sensor as I see nothing on the lens or thru the viewfinder. I do see it on the lcd monitor in playback. As this is a point and shoot, I don't know how to get to the sensor to see and/or clean it. Can someone help?
It is dust on the sensor and cleaning is not easy, check the web for instructions. You might try skaking or tapping with your hand to see if it moves.
I tried the shaking and tapping and I think the dark center fell off. Now I have a gray spot instead of the black. I am guessing this is as good as it will get because I can’t actually get at the sensor. Thanks.

Lens is not removable by users on that model. A trip to the nearest authorized service center listed in the manual is in order.
It may be more cost effective to use something link Sync Settings in Lightroom. Clean up one image then apply that "effect" to the rest of the images in the same shoot.
Your camera may have a sensor cleaning function. If it does, try activating it while holding the camera with the lens pointing straight down.

You'll probably find out that dust on the sensor is something that goes with this otherwise great camera... and you'll get some good help on cleaning your sensor.
Hi guys, I do appreciate all the suggestions. There was no manual with the camera as I bought it used. Went thru the menus and no sensor cleaning. I do not have Lightroom. I do have Photos and Affinity. Do not do social media. While I debate if it is worth sending to a repair facility, I will try to, in future pictures, put something dark in that spot or clone it out. I am even thinking of taking it apart to see what I can see. That should be a “last ditch” effort tho. Thanks.

The ADVANCED manual is downloadable from Panasonic as a PDF file. Save it to your hard drive. As this is a file transfer protocol link, you will have to cut it and paste it into your browser:

The BASIC manual is downloadable from B&H:

I don't like being the bearer of bad news, but..... I have had an LX100 for a few years and like it a lot. Early reviews when I bought it said some of them will pump in dust as the lens extends and retracts. Dust would then stick to the sensor. Under warranty, the factory repair center would fix it. Out of warranty it was expensive.
I've been lucky and not had the problem but I'm careful about keeping it in clean shooting and storage conditions.
Using wider apertures and faster shutter speeds will minimize the appearance of dust on the sensor.

Thanks for this information about the Facebook group, Markie1425. I didn't know about it, and now have applied to join. I got this camera for an upcoming trip to the UK, and am looking forward to exploiting its potential!
I had a similar problem with a Panasonic Lumix LF1 camera with a fixed lens. The advice I got here was to use a vacuum cleaner to suck air out of the camera in hopes that it would dislodge the dust particles. It worked! I had to repeat a year later and it worked again. I'm still using the camera. Check my original post:

I have the same camera John and got it for travel. I havent had the problem but noted before I bought it that some people had experienced what you have. I queried it at our local camera shop and they suggested to regularly wipe the barrel of the lens when fully extended.
I have done that, not regularly I have to admit, but so far after several thousand clicks, no dust problem.
A bit more research also showed that maybe some examples of the model were prone to sucking in stuff and others never did, so maybe I was just lucky.
Mine has virtually replaced my D7100 and I would rate it as possibly the best digital camera Ive owned.
Enjoy your trip to the UK.
