Seriously, does that fair allow images depicting violation of property rights? In CA the railroads frown on one standing on their tracks. I only do it where there are no trains in sight or where the tracks cross a street so I'm legally on a sidewalk. And of course, never on a bridge!

The Indiana State Fair will not accept direct photos of railroad tracks. That aside, I agree with Linda that the photo is cliche.

I'm not going to say anything about the legality of being on the tracks, but the photo does nothing for me, not sure what the photo is supposed to be about. Just my thoughts.

This is a good point. Without the title ("Go Forward Young Man"), it's far less clear what the photographer's intention was. Having said that, there are many contests, as well as gallery showings, where the title is a big part of the story.
