Great pics. Beautiful landscapes - even in the wet.

Joe, that looks like a killer breakfast. I am beginning to feel like this is "Joe's story of the Earth, Part 5." Great pics and excellent narration.
Thanks George, from what I remember it was a good, pleasant and cozy breakfast on a rainy day.
We were there in April. Loved South Island .... they do like their bacon raw however. :)

Take your wife 🤗👍
Susan, sounds like Richard went to NZ before he was married - so would have had a tough time taking "nobody" along ....

Thanks - and much better things to come yet - well, maybe not on the breakfast side.
I've been looking forward to seeing your NZ photos and they don't disappoint even though the weather hasn't been too cooperative. One of our nieces married a Kiwi and after travelling the world with him they have now returned to his home on the South Island. We would really like to visit them, but it would be such a long flight.

Thank you for visiting my post and I am happy to hear that you are looking forward to seeing my NZ pictures - hope I will not disappoint you.
Yes, there is no way around, it is a long flight to down under and with our older bones (mine at least....) it does not make it easier. But think of the joy you get once you are there! - seeing this beautiful countryside and seeing your niece to boot in her new environment. And it is always great to see a new place through the eyes of the local people.
I while my time away aboard the plane, trying to sleep as much as possible, doing some reading and playing the on-board Sudoku and Solitaire games - it is actually amazing how fast the time goes. We do this about 2-3 times a year, mainly to Europe as our children and grand children live over there.
For NZ, you have of course the additional possibility to make a stop on the way, as we did on the trip I am presenting right now. There are a bunch of beautiful and interesting islands, such as the Cooks and Fiji which we selected on this trip. - Might be a bit less exotic for you Floridians (I assume you live there) but for us Northerners that is definitely an additional bonus. Where on the South Island does your niece live?
The yolk of that egg looked seriously underdone for me but looking forward to better weather pictures and dont forget you people that it is our winter here in NZ.
