Hope all my fellow Canadians are having a great day.
Canuck, by way of Quebec, UP of Michigan, then the Bayou. Creole by proclivity and by lifestyle (philosophy). Jambalaya, Crawfish Pie and File Gumbo... Happy Day's allatime! Crawdad feed this weekend.
Per Hank Williams:
Goodbye Joe, me gotta go me oh my oh
Me gotta go pole the pirogue down the bayou
My Yvonne, the sweetest one, me oh my oh
Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the bayou
Jambalaya, a-crawfish pie and-a file gumbo
'Cause tonight I'm gonna see my ma cher amio
Pick guitar, fill fruit jar and be gay-oh
Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the bayou.
The Thibodaux the Fontaineaux the place is buzzin'
Kinfolk come to see Yvonne by the dozen
Dress in style and go hog wild me oh my oh
Son of a gun we'll have big fun on the bayou
Jambalaya, a-crawfish pie and-a file gumbo
'Cause tonight I'm gonna see my ma cher amio
Pick guitar, fill fruit jar and be gay-oh
Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the bayou.

Canucks... The best thing Canada ever did for Americans, That plus socialized medicine!!!!
My name says it.
Wish I were there.
Canuck by heritage, Scotland to PEI ca 1840, then to Seattle area. Grandpa was the last Canuck in our direct line. So, GO CANADA!

One of my grandmothers was a Newfie.
My other was from Ontario!
Oh, Canada!
We Cajuns hope you Canucks had a great day.
All the best to our good neighbors to the north!
Please invade the US as soon as possible.
I don’t understand your reference to Hank Williams his song Jambalaya, and Canucks. Canucks refer to Canadians (Happy Birthday Canada), Jambalaya refers to a Cajun dish, and Hank was American.
Cajuns were forced out of Eastern Canada before the US revolution.
So, while I thank you for Paul Anka, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Celine Dion, Daniel Lavoie, Bruno Pelletier, and Garou (I loved Notre Dame de Paris), McGill University (my alma mater) and Mae West (the chocolate cake from Montreal) among other things, Hank, his songs and Cajun cooking is all us.
Once again, Happy Holiday.

Hello from St Joe, your neighbor just up the road. My wife and I visited the Canadian Rockies a few years ago and had a wonderful time. We have Canadian cousins who run a fishing lodge on Hay Bay.
