16-year-old Velcro now has thyroid issues, so I have to rub a {topical} medicine into her ears once a day. Unfortunately, she seems to be unable to count to 1 ..... she is never quite sure if I have dosed her, or whether I may grab her for her medication ..... so even if she is about to dose off, she keeps her eyes on me

what a good name for a CAT!!!
I was just telling my sister that my dog seems to eat, then sleep all day long. What a life.

When she was young she had very poor control over her claws {still not too great today}, so she tended to stick to things. When she was three weeks old, I saw her mother grab her by the scruff of her neck to get her unlatched from the carpet.

Thank you for commenting.
The aspect of her that doesn't show up in photos is her inner personality. She is very sweet with us - purrs very loudly - but I think she has inner fear or some such thing that causes her to initially reject any other animal ..... unfortunately we hear a lot of hissing from her when an unfamiliar animal shows up.
You made a beautiful picture of a beautiful cat girl. Please give a scratch behind her ear from me.

Regrettably Velcro died last week. We now believe the thyroid issue was a working of cancer that spread to other organs.

I am sorry for the loss of your cat daughter. It is always difficult to lose a member of the family.

Thank you for your condolences. Velcro made enough of an impact on our family that my wife has decided that is a position which has to be filled, most likely by a younger applicant so we don’t have to go through this again with her.
