A perfect example of this is to go visit NY City and ride a bus shooting pictures as you go down the road. Shots are fast and even if your shot is level, you need to go to perspective control features in your software to correct the slanted buildings! Yeah, maybe you didn't shoot wide enough to capture the portrait you needed in landscape but it's a learning process. Shooting wide allowed me to fix all the NY City shots.
