Thanks much, Jan. I didn’t hear all the introduction, so I didn’t get the tribe name. There were tribes there from all over the United States, and I’m pretty sure this family was from Oklahoma because I did hear him mention Oklahoma.

Thanks. I shot these with my Sony a6000 with the 55-210 lens; it seems to be very sharp if I do my part.
It looked weird with all of those tents so close together. Did it feel the same as in the psst?

It was the same as last year, after they moved back from Military Park. Many of the vendors and exhibits were inside on the first floor, and the demonstrations and dancing were on the patio(?) in the back by the canal. I was told many of the vendors didn’t like being separated from the museum by the canal and found it awkward to get back and forth--just hearsay. To us, it felt easier to see all the vendors’ wares than when it was strung out in the park. It is probably easier
to police the gate crashers this way, too.
For general information... It is considered an insult to refer to the native dress as "costume" The preferred is "regalia."

Interesting--one of the dance performers referred to her dancing children’s “costumes” that she made. I assume that if it’s ok with one of the official performers to say costume, it’s ok fo me.
