I see these silicone lens covers advertised from $4 to 25 (Kuvrd seems to be the original and most expensive). Has anyone ordered them and used them? Feedback?
I ordered some of the cheaper ones and they are useful almost exclusively for covering the back end of the lens where it attaches to the camera. They are too small for any but my smallest lenses.
I have a friend that swears by them. She's rather rough on her gear, and appreciates the protection.
I bought two from Kuvrd and gave one to a photographer buddy. Both of us have been very pleased with them. They have amazing soft stretch which becomes apparent after the first couple uses. Not as protective, but certainly much smaller and lighter than lens hoods. I can use them over my lens cap and any filters. Highly recommended.
I ordered several but I don't use them. They didn't fit on the lens with the lens hood reversed. I had to carry the lens hood separately which was awkward and took up space.

What options are there besides Kuvrd?
Look on Amazon - about a dozen knock-offs...

Yes, I have the Kuvrd covers in two different sizes. They fit my lenses like a charm and I am very pleased with them. I think they will be great dust covers when I go to Africa.
I saw them and thought they were a great idea and order a couple. I received them and they were relatively stiff to put on the front end of a lens requiring what I thought to be way too much torque to be applied on the end of the lens to stretch the rubber silicon around the lens front. I felt there also should be tabs or something on the lip of the caps to help getting them on and off the lens. In the end, I called the company and said I did not like them because of the above stated reasons and requested a refund, which they did comply.
I bought four and they are sitting in a box someplace with a lot more unused camera equipment.
They sounded like a great idea, but I had to use two hands to get them onto the lens. I like the pinch lens caps, easy off, easy on. Also the regular caps fit into my pocket easily when I start shooting. The rubber ones are too bulky for my taste. Good luck, they may work for your needs.
I just use the XUME magnetic ring system with my caps and filters...quick and easy especially to share filters between lenses. Some will probably say they are too expensive...
For about the same price as a clip on plastic lens cap you can get a screw on Sensei metal cap. I picked up some from B & H, and I'm very pleased. They are absolutely secure, only takes a second or so more to put on or take off than a plastic clip on. And I don't lose them.
