Digging through my archives as I haven't been able to go out with my camera for eleven months.

It certainly looks like the fun it over. Love the clouds and the pool of water in the foreground. For me that makes the shot.
Great title, interesting story that many would overlook. Good to see you, Graham!
Very moving shot. I'm not fond of the saturated foreground plant, as it seems to take away from the overall feeling, but with or without, it is an excellent capture with fine composition.
oHi, Graham,
Your image and that word “Amusements” set me off on a strange stream of consciousness. The melancholic mood of the image holds at bay the cheerful connotations of “amusement” ... the purpose of which, etymologically, is to prevent serious thought ...indeed to distract one from one’s serious mentations...from one’s muse..based upon which I have often found it strange that when checking out the listings for “museums” in the phone books of many cities, I have found all the museums in the city most often listed under the rubric : “Amusememts”! Strange, given that a museum is an institution literally given to the stimulation of thought...of pondering and thinking and musing on the marvels and would-be mysteries displayed therein.
There! That’s what your fascinating image does to and for me...taking me to an incredible variety of memories of places ... and times ... and ages.
Thanks for posting this!
Best t’ye,
Dave
Nice photo, and an appropriate way to announce your return, I hope. I’ve always enjoyed seeing your work.

Wonderful, playful photo with a hint of trepidation in the sky. Glad to see you back, Graham.
