Those are spectacular images! The composition and timing is great, and the post processing created a unique feeling. You managed to blend a sense of the past with a vibrant view of the present.

Best of all for me, you have inspired me to try your approach.

Thank you! I was inspired by the work of Glenn McNaughton who posts on Images of Alba and have been able to approximate his technique by playing around with PhotoSerge presets. What I like about this is that colors, especially reds and yellows, are emphasized against the more neutral tones of buildings.

Beautiful. The mix of dusk light & artificial lighting adds alot to the photos. Great job.

Nice work

I'm guessing the heavy handed noise reduction is the camera and not the photographer.

Probably with a tripod you could have lowered the ISO and shutter speed,
would have reduced the noise problem a lot.

Anyway, that does not effect your really nice exposure and composition imho.

Wow - gorgeous images Sue with beautiful lighting and crisp detail.

"gorgeous" I can agree with that, "beautiful lighting" indeed yes, "crisp detail"... you need
to go see an optometrist.

The ISO was quite high to compensate for the poor lighting conditions so crispness wasn't in the forefront - as to using a tripod - I never drag one along when hiking around Edinburgh although I am planning to take it up to Calton Hill this autumn to get a shot of Princes Street in the early evening.

Of course Sue; challenging conditions which you have dealt with well.

I like these images very much.
