How do I get the shutter count on my Canon 60D?
Magic Lantern scares me and "shutter count" works with Mac only (I have windows)
Any better way?
Try Picture Information Extractor.

Have you tried EOScount from your browser? It reads the shutter count from the usb connected camera, not by uploading an image, which does not include the shutter count in EXIF like Nikon and others.

You could also try EOSmsg
http://www.eosmsg.com/ . It works reliably and is inexpensive.
I also use Magic Lantern on a T3i and T2i. It’s simply a run time application and is easily removed, nothing to be afraid of. If it was available for my 80D I would use it with confidence.
Digital cameras are simply computers designed to capture images, reading e-mail or browsing websites carries a bigger risk.
Good luck
Some one told me to select a preview of the image and scroll down and you can see the count

http://eoscount.com/Agree, I use eoscount as well.
Google shutter count, you upload a pics to there homepage.
This is the one I use and it works well for me. I don't have to upload a photo to the internet to use it, it's a program on my PC.
Hadn't noticed that but it looks like I better charge the batttery.
EOSinfo - free download if you google it. works on most of the newer cameras.
None of these seem to work for recent Canon cameras (I have a 5D4 and a 7D2). I've searched high and wide and not found one that works. Magic lantern may work, but it involves installing new software on your camera and I'm reluctant to do that.
I am a member of Canon CPS, so I get a free cleaning of 10 bodies or lenses per year (shipping included!) and they tell me my shutter counts.

ONLY works IF the camera puts shutter count in the EXIF... Canon's don't.....Nikons and some others do...
Can't think why Canon's would not add shutter count to the EXIF...
