Wonderful shot. I’m jealous. I have some Tanagers living on my property in WV and we’ve been playing hide and seek for 3 years. I get glimpses, and even some good views (when I don’t have my camera handy) but no decent photos yet. I’m on a steep hill, so the tree tops he favors are at near eye level. But he flys away before I can get his picture. 😢 thanks for inspiring me to keep trying.

Scarlet Tanagers are common in South Eastern Ct. but many will never see one because they spend most of there life high in the tree canopy. Consequently, most of my photos of these breathtaking colorful birds are taken looking up. I was lucky to find this one at almost eye level.
Lovely capture of the elusive Scarlet Tanager
Great shot. Maybe you can sharpen up the bottom beak a little.
Beautiful photo and bird.

That is one to be proud of. A real beauty!
