Frank I'm sorry but I am going to call BS on that.
Please read the Smugmug user agreement, translated to laymen's terms, at the link below:
https://www.smugmug.com/about/terms/guide/And I recommend you read some of the user agreements on other sites, including this one (UHH).
I have been using Smugmug for a long time and I have never had any problems. Unlike Facebook or 500 pix, SmugMug is a reputable photo sharing site.
JD, did you read the whole thread before you called me basically a liar. Gold star 46 already brought it to my attention and I thanked him for that and apologize way ahead of your critique. I read something into their statement that really wasn't there. some of these things takes an attorney to read and I read it too fast and read things into it my mind play games on me. I misunderstood and read into the paragraph that starts with "you the user and owner of the images grant SmugMug a perpetual non-exclusive and royalty-free right to use....."
I am not a BS'r I made an honest mistake. I think if you go back and read the whole thread you'll see then I didn't understand it because we the photographer maintain copyright.
I'm sorry if this sounds rude but it did got to me I don't like someone starting off a sentence with I got to call this BS there's a lot better adequate to use the net again tree goldstar46 response to me.
I would consider Microsoft's Onedrive "cloud" service. Works well with Lightroom. I got it through the Office 365 plan for around $100/year.
