These are from three days in the park and from three different locations there.
...the second one is great...the third one is pretty funny...you can fall asleep anywhere...?
Great set of shots Chuck. I hope you were using a looooong lens and staying safe around those creatures. That little guy is a great capture. Hop you are doing well.

Nice photos. Since they stopped allowing the hunting of black bear in Utah we have had an explosion in the bear population. Several years ago at a camp site in American Fork Canyon a bear dragged a young boy from his sleeping bag and killed him. The bear was tracked down and killed, of course. If I go into the back country I will be carrying a rifle. I'm getting too old to go wandering around anymore, however.
A friend hikes around there and has a little bell hanging off his backpack - I asked if that was a bear dinner bell...
These are So Fun....more please. I love them.
A week ago I took my dog out for her last bathroom break before going to bed and walked around the corner and came within 15 feet of a large black bear. We saw each other at the same time and it turned and darted back in the wooded area. Boy was I glad. I now make noise and carry a light when I make those trips.
Very nice shots. The cub is very cute!
Awww, man, I'm jealous! I spent Memorial Day weekend hiking around there and didn't see any bears...
Nicely composed images. We have a few black bears in La. but not like in other places. I have captured them on my trail camera, though.
