My first attempt at a hand held panorama. Eleven panels.
I shot it in landscape, wish I had shot it in portrait after seeing it put together.
Very nice work, Bob! The vertical mode usually works better on something of this scale.

Thank you Mike. I'm just starting on panoramas and have a lot to learn and remember.

Be careful: panoramas can become addicting. Today's software does a great job. You are right about shooting vertically. Tripods are nice but not necessary, especially for distant subjects. The keys are to overlap a lot (25-50%) and to maintain the horizon as you pan.
Here is a challenge: 360 degrees.
Good luck and post more.

I did that a few years ago. 360° of my back yard.

How about making a new post of that to inspire others?

OK but I have to find it first.
Nicely done!
Lonely Stoors. * sigh *
Very nice first pano Bob. I agree with you, shooting in portrait mode would have been better.
