The first 10 amendments were not included in the original draft because the founders felt that the Bill of Rights were implied and did not need to be mentioned. After deliberating they decided to make it so there was no question what our rights were and added them. Pretty smart of them 'eh.

Aside from the 2 amendments regarding alcohol, the rest of them were directly aimed toward the People and did not change the scope and authority of the government. The process is not a quick and simple one that happens over a period of a few months or years. That keeps the Constitution from becoming a legal yo-yo depending on which party is in the majority.

My point each that with each amendment the federal government imposed nationwide rules which by definition increased their centralized power. This was done by 2/3rds of the state’s approving the amendment proposed. That requirement is what prevents your yo-yo effect. The amendments are created in response to the evolving needs of our society. With each amendment, federal power was increased and state powers to self-regulate were diminished.
That’s the means by which the federal government’s government power grows. And, no one has yet found a way to un-ring the bell.

There has been no amendment that increased the government limits as stated in Article 1.
The government as it is now is exercising powers that do not belong to it.

Then you are blinded by the literal and not the reality.

We will not change one another’s perception; so be it. You are regrettably limited on your ability to perceive. It must be nice to be so incredibly short-sighted to accept trump’s false reality. I guess it’s easier than thinking for yourself.

Don’t you understand the power of lies? You’ve been lied to, wake up!
I think you’re smarter than this. Though you’re angry, look at
The facts - trump is playing you. You have company; 43% are buying into this poser’s I BS.

Trump is definitely the winner. Have any of you read that Russia is now supplying corn and soybeans to China instead of the United States?
Do you really think that destroying that market for the American Farmer was an accident?
Trump has proven over and over that he's a Russian asset and you Wingers sit in the corner like the three monkeys, Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.
Trump is evil and if you're true patriots you will speak up against this despot.

Little Frankie, I guess a roaring stable economy, lowest black unemployment EVER, securing the border, manufacturing coming back to America as well as all the other positives is a scary thing for dems. Negotiating tariff's is a scary thing for dems. People thinking for themselves is a scary thing for dems.

Putin, Kim, Xi, or Trump?

You may get the prize for the most foolish question ever asked on UHH. What is the point? Do you have a crystal ball, or are you going to use that democrat hypocrisy to forecast an answer?

Each of the so called conservatives here refused to answer the question. These people are populists, the inevitable result when democracy begins to fail. The problem with populism is that is most strongly embraced by angry, selfish, short sighted people. This thread thus far clearly evidences this observation.

From my perspective, Xi is the long term greatest threat but trump is making Xi’s efforts so much easier.

It is a stupid question.

Hey Farmboy. If you're a soybean or corn farmer you're probably a welfare queen now.
So tell me, what is it that you're farming? Hemp?

Lainey, I wouldn't expect you to understand but I'll try. When Bush was President, I disagreed with some of his policies but respected the fact that he was basically honest and had the best interest of the country in mind.
When Reagan was President, I also disagreed with policies but respected that he had the best interest of the country in mind.
Now Trump is President and it's not about his policies. I still disagree with some of them and I actually do agree with others but my real problem with Trump is that by his actions and his words he's shown that he doesn't have the best interest of this country in mind.
He's sided with despots and dictators and publicly defends Putin and Kim, taking the side of these despots and disrespecting our own intelligence agencies.
Now he wants to pardon war criminals, who were turned in by their own men for the atrocious crimes they committed..\
He's turned the Presidency into a cash cow in violation of the Constitution and defies legally issued subpoenas to prevent his misfeasance and malfeasance from being investigated.
He's appointed an Attorney General who doesn't understand that he's the people's attorney, not the personal attorney of Donald Trump.
So if you, in your conscience, in the privacy of your home can square the fact that you've got a criminal in the Oval Office, but you're okay with it because the economy is doing well then that is a sad fact about you.
BTW, if you can take a moment away from Sean Hannity, you might want to take a look at the economic growth of the United States and look at the graphs that will point out to you that much of the growth was started under the Obama administration.
You might also want to figure out that all those new "tariffs" are actually taxes that he's levying against you, the consumer, or do you really believe that when a company has to pay a tariff, they're not going to charge you for it.
I'd take the time to explain economics to you, but most of your posts seem to be attacking me. I guess I scare you as much as AOC does.
Blessed be.

Not butthurt and definitely not a Fake War Hero.
Hey wait. I've got an idea. Why don't you, Louise and the rest of you actually try to take part in an intelligent conversation instead of obsessing about me?
I'd probably disagree with your position but at leaast, it would be closer to having a conversation than a group of schoolyard bullies trying to hurt me.
BTW, you really can't hurt me because I'd actually have to care about you to care what you think.
Just thought a real conversation would be more interesting than your boring bs.
