Fujifilm XT3 and Pluto Trigger compatibility

After researching the Pluto Trigger I was convinced it would do everything I'm wanting with my new camera, the Fuji XT3 and was compatible. I received the trigger today and have spent the last two hours trying to figure out how to hook it up by watching youtube videos and the like. I'm stumped and have a feeling I was led down the path by the Pluto folks as there doesn't appear to be a way to physically hook it up to the XT3. Pluto said to order the proper cable for the matchup (the E3 cable) and I did but cannot find where to plug it into the camera. Maybe they sent the wrong cable, I don't know and can't call anyone there until tomorrow. So, I'm hoping someone with an XT3 hooked up and working with the Pluto Trigger will chime in and educate me. Thank you in advance.

Have you tried the connector right under the "X-T3" label? Unscrew (and try not to lose!) the cover and you'll find a terminal there.

I read that the remote cable socket is behind a separate (tiny) door above the memory card slots - on the other side of the camera from the other receptacles. The E3 should look like a stereo headphone plug - also like the Canon remote.
Now I have a question for you:
I have and love the XT1 - and upgraded to XT2 JUST BEFORE the XT3 came on the scene. The rear dial on the XT2 drives me mad. I have watchmaker's skin (=dry) and cannot rotate the rear dial without accidentally also pressing it - unless I wear an extra-large finger cot on my thumb.
IS the XT3 rear dial better? Can you rotate it without pressing it?

I'm so new to the camera that I have not used the rear command dial yet. I just gave it a try and you are accurate with your description of use for it. I'm mid-seventies and my thumb skin is smooth and somewhat numb so it is difficult to spin the dial without pressing and activating the switch. Glad you pointed that out so maybe Fuji will take it under consideration and put higher ridges on the wheel and make the switch part of it a bit harder to activate when pressing.
Thank you for guiding me to the location of the remote release port. It's hidden well under a small cover.

That port is for a flash unit. They call it a sync terminal. Thank you for your offer of help.

I have a Fujifilm camera as well but a different one, a Fuji X-100T. I too have noticed some oddities about their accessories connections. I have a wireless trigger but in spite of the instructions may be connected two ways, one by a tiny USB connector and the other by a tiny (stereo) phono plug like some Pentax and Canon cameras. The phono jack on the camera is also used for a microphone. Go figure! Both connector "systems" work so I can use the same RF trigger (and cord) for my Pentax cameras as well.

I've found this Fuji camera very confusing to use. It has many great features and can potentially do far more than my older Pentax DSLRs but I had bought it for my wife and she can not seem to use it. I mistakenly thought it would be simple to use. I have problems using it as well with my arthritis. I get the idea Fuji is more geared towards younger innovative users. My wife and I do well with our more traditional DSLR and SLR cameras. Not sure what I am going to do about the Fuji X-100T, swap for a X-E3 or X-Pro2? I may give my Pentax K-5 (16MP) to my wife and then get a K-5ii s (no AA filter) for me. I'm not happy with my K-3 (24MP) and still prefer my K-5 and K-20D (14MP).

I have the same situation. An XT-3 with Pluto and the E3 cable. Did you find a solution?

Yes,
as I said above -
The remote cable socket is behind a separate (TINY) door/flap ABOVE the memory card slots - on the OTHER side of the camera from the other receptacles. The E3 should look like a stereo headphone plug - like the Canon remote.
