ALL are great....I really like the snake skin. Good catch there.

Some are saying, straighten the horizon on the sunset...... What they don't see is the water tower is straight!!! The photo is good.

Thanks for sharing...

Thank you, that was my thinking also. I need to go back In the morning to get the right light on it , or it could be gone by now.

Thank you, I’m gonna try but think the ground runs at a slant. What part of Bama are from? We’re from Mobile originally.

I am from Birmingham! So you are a native Mobilian? Thats an awesome town! Lots of history there.
I worked on your photo a bit with the horizon and the cropping. Im no professional for sure but if you want me to share my interpretation of #3 just let me know. Sure did enjoy you captures here in this post.

I particularly like the shot of the field of flowers leading to the brush line -- natural values nicely captured.

The concentration of flowers in the center with a subtle leading line of similar flowers to it, brings the eye there and then back out to other image parts. In mathematics, we might call this arrangement a reciprocal relation.

The mid-tones need lifting.

I took the liberty, in Adobe Camera Raw, of lifting the mid-tones with the Tone Curve. Then I used the Whites slider in the Basic panel to back off overexposure there. I also slightly reduced the overexposure of highlights using the Highlights slider in the Basic panel.

I believe these few, simple adjustments intensify the natural beauty of this fine photograph. See the tweaked image below. This rendition might prompt a poet to say something about the natural realm.
I particularly like the shot of the field of flowe... (show quote)

Thank you for the input, I’ll play around some more with it. I’m always trying to learn. Ron

Nice shots. Maybe I'd change up only a few things, by my eye. Going by pictures:
1) Try a higher f stop to get more in focus. It's a shame to miss any part of this flower.
2) Here I'd blur out the bg slightly
4) I find the bg not helping the shot but what if you took the shot with a piece of black paper behind the flower just far enough that you could knock the bg out of focus. That would be stunning.
9) A Butterfly Wonderland! The post work "anotherveiw" has done is welcomed and adds snap. Hats off to this gentleman.

Thank you for the input. I’ll give them all a try and see what I come up with. Ron

Ya we where one of the 1400 families that moved in 1967 to San Antonio, they closed the base. I was 16 but it’s still home for me and my wife.
Sure let’s see what you got I’m always in learning mode.

I think Airbus has occupied the base now. The are maybe building the A320 Jet there now. Here is what I did with #3 just messing around with Snapseed post processing app. I wanted to feature that cow in the foreground a little more.
