Naw, we aren’t like that (much). Funny cartoon.
Let's see. I can skip several meals and have enough saved to buy <fill in the blank>.

That's the truth, but I've never skipped a meal in my life.

I have that problem also.
In fact I have a large archive of meals.
Many things could be written on that vending machine.

While going to college, I also got involved in photography and bought, while struggling with college, a Nikon Ftn in 1969. My parents were not real happy but said nothing, my girlfriend supported me like mad.
Now, as I look back at a successful career in education and as a professional wedding photographer, it was well worth it.
I credit most of all, my mother, who always had my back, and explained to Dad that all would turn out in the end.
And, I'm a Billy too.
P.S. I married that girlfriend and we are celebrating our 50th anniversary later this year. Actually, we are celebrating our 50th anniversary TOUR year.
Love it!! Gotta save that. Reminds me of a saying an old friend uses: Money is no object if you don't have any. Fits me perfectly. Thanks for posting this.
