Funny for us... maybe. I recall some amusing signs for ranches: "Tooth Acres" belonged to a dentist, and one in the Sierra Foothills was "Rancho Costa Lota." They weren't bad investments.

I lived down the road in Desert Hills, had friends in Black Canyon City and would drive by the Acres a few times a month. I never did figure out why they named it that.

I think the got wiped out in the huge Agua Fria flood. They lost nearly all their animals.
