I took these on Memorial Day. I started at 8:30 and I wrapped up around 4. My friend and i took about a hour's break to visit a friend whose apartment on the 15th floor overlooks Mount Vernon Square. We wrapped up without making it to two other locations we wanted to visit. I'm planning to shoot again on July 4th. There were few people out, very little traffic and great weather.
Wow, 15 story tripod! There are several years worth of interesting photos there before you, evolving over time too.
Some interesting shots. Keep in mind that the BPD is 1000 officers SHORT. That means that YOU are in danger everytime you go through the "City that Reads". Keep aware of your surroundings, and BE Careful!
You're braver than we are and we've live in Balt for 20 years.. we'd never venture downtown.. I'm surprised that the cop didn't confiscate the camera when you took that photo of the cop near the 7/11

I have lived in either the city or the county all my life. I do not feel I'm in danger in the city. I'm aware of my surrounding no mater where I shoot. There are lots of great pictures there and I'll continue to pursue them. Thanks for the concern.

I have lived in either the city or the county for over 60 years. I've shot downtown, Fells Point, Mount Vernon, Patterson Park, Leakin Park, the Inner Harbor, Federal Hill, Camden Yards, etc. I've never felt unsafe. It's funny that you mentioned that police car. I didn't even see it. About 10 minutes prior to that, my friend and I had a conversation with an officer about cameras. She asked what we were shooting with and asked for suggestions on lenses because she was also a photographer.
Very nice, thanks for the tour!
Nice pix. Be sure to get the Phoenix Shot Tower next time.

I doubt that would happen unless the photo was able to identify the officer(s)--just a picture of a police car with no faces visible probably should not be a problem.
It is a shame what has been allowed to transform a city like Baltimore in these United States.
Your photos make Bodymore Murderland look good. I live there but like to take photos in the slums of broken down houses and always have to be on guard.I stay close to my truck with my Pit Bull in it.
