Thanks Tom, this spider appears to have a blue colour on legs but apparently these are really black but look blue in certain light conditions.
Also, I am told by a reliable source that an almost identical and very rare jumper, Talavera thorelli, has only been recorded in Kent, so I will be looking out for that one.

Gotta say... I’ve never seen a birch shield bug (I don’t think). Stink bugs? Very nice, but I’ll stay clear of the woods. 👍

Thanks 47greyfox, there are quite a lot of different and very pretty shield bugs and large enough to make photographing them a bit easier than the tiny creatures.
